What are these puzzles called, where you work out the right combination of people, actions, colours etc?
I remember doing a lot of these sorts of puzzles when I was younger – they involved scenarios where you had to work out a correct combination of people, what they were wearing, what they were doing etc. through several clues, for example:
Amy was not wearing the red coat, but she was gardening.
Bob was wearing a pullover.
Clare was eating lunch.
Then there’d be a grid where you could shade away the wrong combinations.
I was just wondering what exactly these puzzles were called. If you can find me any examples, especially with grids, I would be very pleased.

When did your child start doing puzzles, and what kind were they?
My 2.5 year old can do the puzzles that have anything 48 pieces and less, and everyone thinks that he must be special and very smart. I am a mom and do think that of him, but I wanted to know when did most children start doing puzzles.
How do you store your puzzles? I have all different sizes?
The puzzle pieces get mixed up and thrown all over. I saw that Melissa and Doug have a storage case but its only for standard sized puzzles. I have a lot of chuncky puzzzles.
What do you do with puzzles which you have completed? Is there such thing as a puzzle swap club?
I just got into doing jig-saw puzzles and I am wondering what I can do with the ones I have completed. They are so beautiful and I don’t have the space to hang them up, and it seems such a shame to let something so nice sit in a box.
I wonder if there is such a thing where you can swap puzzles with fellow puzzlers?
How do you keep your cats off your puzzles in progress?
My daughter and I have a table in the living room where we like to keep out, with our puzzles that we are working on. We dont like putting them away everytime, because its much more inviting to work on if its already out and easily accessable. Our cats love to jump on the table and knock out pieces onto the floor and just destroy our progress. Does anyone know if there are anything like "puzzles protectors" out there that I can make or buy…like a cover of some sort? A towel or sheet doesnt work.

Is there something else I can use besides puzzle glue to hold my puzzles together?
A while back I was in Wal-Mart buying a puzzle and they had this stuff to hold your puzzles together but instead of being the regular glue it was like a big sticker sheet that you stuck to the back of the finished puzzle. I didn’t buy it then and now I wish I had because since then I am unable to find it again. Has anybody ever heard of this stuff and do you know what its actually called?
What are some puzzles like Sudoku that I can get online?
I like puzzles like Sudoku, Add Them Up (found in a newspaper), kakuro and anything like them. I also like the puzzles that you have to try and draw without taking your pencil off the paper.
But I need them to be able to print off so I can do them away from the computer. Any websites that have any of these puzzles would be helpful. Or if you know anyother puzzles like these that would be fun you could mention them too.
puzzles…?
I am looking for some logic puzzles or any kind of puzzles I can put in a book to give my dad for his birthday…do you have any ideas??
