About PuzzleCrunch
PuzzleCrunch 2008 is the second Spring "puzzlehunt" competition at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. It follows in the footsteps of the MIT Mystery Hunt, Stanford's Jackpot, and Microsoft's Puzzlehunt, as well as UIUC's Fall PuzzleCrack event PuzzleCrunch is a little different. Unlike most competitions, PuzzleCrunch has few rules. Puzzles can be worked on by individuals or teams. Pretty much any resource is fair game. All that matters is that you solve the puzzles in the smallest amount of time. For the first time, PuzzleCrunch is being held as an entirely online competition, which means that people from all over the world can compete for prizes, and that there will be no advantage to being on campus at UIUC (as there has been in the past). Puzzles can consist of pretty much anything. We're not going to tell you what the puzzle is or how to solve it. The goal is to have fun and to find the best and brightest minds out there. If winning prizes doesn't interest you, wouldn't it be nice to prove you're the best? |
